The case of Comprative Advertising is again in issue in the market. Recently, the HUL came up with a advertisement comparing Tide Naturals. The advertisement directly compares the Rin with Tide, saying that Rin gives better whiteness than tide that too in a less price. Within a day after airing of this Advertisement the matter landed up in court, Proctor & Gamble filed apetition seeking interim injunction against the HUL's advertisement. The matter would be very interesting as it is for the first time that HUL has directly implicated its competitor Proctor & Gamble in the advertisement. The matter is scheduled to come up for hearing on 5th March. It would be very interesting to see the outcome of the case as it would set the new principles of comprative advertising.
